Customised smurfs are usually licensed smurfs that have been altered to suit the whimsy of their creator. On this page, all the smurfs have been customised by me unless stated otherwise. I've used acrylic paint.
The Wedding:
On 7th April 2008 my brother got married in Australia. I customised these smurfs in his and his bride's honour!

Once Upon a Time:
... in a village far away, there was a little flower Smurfette called Smurfie. She was imperfect with nibbled toes and a scar on her face. She had a twin sister called Ettie who was perfect in every way.

The sisters loved each other very much and were very happy together. However, when with others, Smurfie was always called "the one with nibbled toes" and this made her very unhappy. When the time came for the sisters to go to Smurferversity, Ettie went to the local Smurf Academy while Smurfie decided to go a long way away where nobody knew her. She was so far away that she couldn't come home in the holidays and it was 3 years before she returned.
To say that Smurfie returned a different Smurfette would be as obvious as saying that Lazy is lazy or Greedy is greedy. Smurfie had found a new look of her very own!

The first smurf to greet Smurfie and welcome her home was her twin sister Ettie. Ettie was amazed at her sister's transformation but she loved her new look! All the smurfs thought that now Smurfie was as pretty as her sister. They all gave her a new name of "the one with the lovely brown hair" and nobody noticed her nibbled toes anymore!

THE END
Buddy Holly:
My uncle is, Buddy Walker, a Buddy Holly tribute artist, so the inspiration for this smurf was easy!

Norwich City Football Smurfs:
I'm not really a football fan but as my family has strong roots in Norfolk, the family football team is Norwich City.

Ground Force:
If you need a garden makeover, these are the smurfs for you!
Zombie Smurfs:
I painted the skin on these smurfs and the result was less than smooth! They do look rather undead to me.

Whimsical:
Sometimes there's no reason or story behind a smurf at all.
